what is burr

BURR is the BEARISH token on Ethereum. It is a DN404 token (an ERC-404-style hybrid): BURR and bears are one asset in two forms, and every bear is backed by 10,001 BURR.

the basics

  • 88,888,888 BURR total supply
  • 10,001 BURR = 1 bear
  • 8,888 bears at most, the same numbers and art they had on Abstract
  • Trades on a Uniswap v4 pool on Ethereum. See Buying BURR.

how bears come and go

loading diagram...
  • Buying: each time your balance crosses a whole 10,001 BURR, a bear comes to your wallet from the top of the burn pool.
  • Selling or sending: drop below the BURR your bears need and one awake bear leaves for each missing 10,001. You can't pick which one: it's the last bear in your wallet's awake list, usually the one that arrived most recently.
  • Bears keep their traits. A bear that leaves your wallet goes to the pool as-is, and the next buyer gets that same bear.
Protect your favorites: hibernate them in the Den before you trade. A hibernating bear never leaves your wallet: the BURR backing it can't be sold or sent until it wakes.

smart accounts

On Ethereum, a smart account (like a Safe) starts with bears turned off, so BURR it buys or receives comes without bears. If that applies to you, the site shows a button to turn bears on for that wallet.

fees and royalties

Team policy: we put 100% of bear royalties, Fur Keeps fees and Uniswap v4 pool fees back into the BURR/ETH pool. They all go to one royalty router, and the team adds them to the pool. It is our promise, not something the code forces.
